BSL

ESL (English as a Second Language) is sometimes referred to as EFL (English as a Foreign Language). The field contains a further acronym: ELT (English Language Teaching) -- or rather, the materials used for teaching. This last category is where big money can be made. It's also a field where a lot of intellectual property gets ripped off, employees are exploited, summarily fired, etc. Thomas at Anatomy of Melancholy reveals the dark side of one such type -- a big-wig, literally, it would seem, of the industry.
